4. OSHA Requirements for Harnesses on Wheeled Scissor Lifts Lanyard anchor points, as originally equipped or authorized by JLG for installation on JLG products, are developed and tested by JLG. These permitted lanyard anchorages meet or exceed the static tensile test requirements of 5,000 lbs (2273 kg) specified in OSHA 1926.502, Section (d)(15) and the test criteria for lanyard anchorage points required by applicable CSA B354. Each authorized lanyard anchor point is specially designed for use by one (1) person. An authorized lanyard anchorage must be in place for each additional person on the platform. When used in accordance with the manufacturer`s instructions for use and recommendations, JLG products remain stable if a person falls off the platform while properly wearing an approved fall protection device (when the fall is limited to 6 feet or less) attached to a specific anchorage point.
